Release emotional trauma. Recapitulation is a mindfulness exercise that gives access to unlocking the psycho-spiritual bind that holds past experiences in place. As an exercise that can be done in a seated position using visualization and breath we will recount specific moments, including the location, time of day, circumstances, details of surroundings and feelings. This is an experiential exercise that will leave us with the occurrence of having a different visceral experience of the events being recapitulated. There will be less of an emotional pull and attachment to what is recapitulated, leaving one lighter, less affected and sometimes totally emotionally detached from what was recapitulated.
